ABOUT US:
We've been in the student housing business in San Francisco for eight years, starting with a modest facilty and eventually upgrading to our current showcase location. The student housing business was born as a natural extension of our expertise with young international travelers, as we have owned and managed award-winning international hostels for more than 16 years. We understand the needs, fears and desires of young people often travelling away from their home country for the first time. Our management and front desk staff are travelers, and often international students themselves, who have a sincere desire to show off this grand city and provide a quality customer experience.
ABOUT OUR BUILDING:
Our student residence facility is 100% dedicated to housing students and providing the amenities they need and want. We provide comfortable, clean and modern rooms, provide ongoing maintenance, have high housekeeping standards and do weekly inspections of our facilities to ensure a quality environment.
Our common area facilities are unmatched in the San Francisco student housing market with large public spaces in our lobby, lounge and reading room. All have comfortable seating to meet with friends, study or surf the internet.
In addition, our commercial-quality kitchen has eight cooking stations and is fully stocked with pots, pans and rice cookers, large fridges, two ovens and a variety of spices and herbs to make even the simplest dish a more tasty meal. Students are welcome to all-they-can-make free pancakes and oatmeal daily, free coffee and tea (including green tea) all day and access to the kitchen from 6 am to 11 pm. Rounding out our facility is a computer lab for those students without laptops and onsite laundry facilities with free laundry powder.
WHY WE ARE UNIQUE:
Setting us apart from the competition is our 50-seat theatre with nightly movies and activities such as karaoke nights and Guitar Hero competitions. But our most unique feature is that the student rooms in our 711 Post Street facility are housed on the upper floors of an award-winning international hostel. In 2010, USA Hostels was ranked the #1 hostel in the nation by Hostelworld.com customers, the largest hostel booking site in the world with more than 23,000 hostel listings.
The hostel component creates a built-in social atmosphere for students, providing them with many opportunities to meet travelers from around the world. They can join in any of the hostel’s daily activities and events, come along on free tours and buy discounted tour tickets.
